Hindus in Nepal as part of the ongoing Tihar festival are celebrating Kukur Tihar all over the country. On the second day of the festival, people celebrate Kukur Tihar today by worshiping dogs and offering them garland, tika and delicious food.
Hindus believe that dog is the guard of Yamaraj, who is known as the god of death.Dogs are believed to be Loyal animals and this day celebrates the relationship among humans and dogs.
Nepalis will be celebrating Laxmi puja on the third day of festival tomorrow by worshiping the Hindu goddess of wealth.
