You can change your Facebook profile picture with Nepali flag profile frame to support the Nepali team participating at Rio 2016 Olympics.
Facebook has rolled out Olympics profile photo frames asking users to show their team spirit by changing their profile images.
The new flag profile frames include the country’s flag along with the official Olympics logo for the Rio 2016.
You can simply click on Try it when you see one of your friends has changed their profile image featuring the Nepali flag profile frame. You should see this description beneath the image for any of their friend’s profile image update in the feed.
“Add a profile frame to celebrate the Olympic Games.”
When you click on Try it, Nepal should be already selected, and you will see a preview of your profile image based on your current profile picture. You can obviously change the profile image to a different one.
Here’s what my profile image looks like after the Nepal flag profile frame overlay.
One good option is that Facebook lets you make the profile image temporary letting you decide when you want to roll back to your previous profile picture.
In addition, another Facebook photo and video filter app MSQRD has also rolled out country flag masks which can be added to your live selfies. It will add the flag mask on top of your face to give an impression of face paint.
The app, however, hasn’t rolled out masks for Nepali flags yet, and I am not sure if it’s going to include Flag for Nepal. You can see the available countries’ flag under Catalog > Sports.
Seven athletes from Nepal are participating in the Rio 2016 Olympics that is set to start this Friday. Most notably, Gaurika Singh who will represent Nepal in swimming is officially the youngest athlete this year at the Olympic Games.
Nepal has been participating in the Olympics since 1964 but has yet to see any medals from the athletes.
Let’s keep our team spirit high by supporting in our own ways – be that just by changing our Facebook profile images!!
