Popular Radio and Television anchor Pravin Giri Passed away this morning at Om Hospital in Chabahil. Giri was 62 years old and a patient of cancer that became the main cause of his death.
To most of us, Pavin Giri was introduced as the most audible voice behind Radio Nepal. A popular Media personality, Giri also worked for Nepal television. After retiring from state owned Medias; he worked as news editor for Avenues television and he was lately working for Himalaya TV based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Apart from his media role, he was also economics teacher for almost three decades at Nepal Commerce Campus in Kathmandu.
Giri is survived by two sons, two daughters and his wife. According to his family sources, Giri’s final rituals will be performed tomorrow after his abroad living son returns to Kathmandu. His body meanwhile was kept at the mortuary in the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital today.
Pravin Giri’s demise is truly a loss to the entire nation. May his soul rest in peace!
