So we have come up to the New Year of the decade and most importantly “the year Nepal is celebrating its Tourism Year”; Welcome to the Nepal Tourism Year (NTY) 2011. Nepal Tourism Year 2011 was officially launched today amidst a ceremony at Dashrath Rangashala.
“We welcome Tourism Year 2011 for the Peace, Prosperity and Stability in Nepal” said President Dr Ram Baran Yadav Yadav while inaugurating the Tourism Year 2011. More than 20k people including Vice-President Paramananda Jha, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Speaker Subas Nembang, Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachhadhar, ministers, leaders of several political parties, Constituent Assembly members, invited tourism minister of Asian countries, foreign ambassadors and General Secretary of United Nations World Tourism Organization Dr. Taleb Rifai were present on the occasion.
Nepal is expecting one million tourists for this Tourism Year 2011. The former Tourism Year was successfully celebrated in Nepal in 1998.
