11th edition of the Miss Teen Nepal, the second biggest beauty pageant in Nepal after Miss Nepal has been scheduled to be held at the Jamal Nachghar complex on 31st December this year.
Held by Kathmandu Jaycees with the Republica as the main sponsors, teen girls aged 16-19 are participating in the beauty pageant competition. Out of 54 applicants, 24 shortlisted candidates will be going through the training process and selected 10 out of those will compete for the pageant title.
Started in 2002, Miss Teen Nepal has been organized regularly by Kathmandu Jaycees to strive forward and encourage young females to showcase their talents, knowledge and beauty to people in and abroad Nepal.
24 shortlisted candidates will be going through a 15 day training session that will include field visits to social organizations, public speaking sessions, choreography and experience sharing sessions that will be helping to boost their morale and confidence for the final rounds.
Together with the title of Miss Teen Nepal, several giveaways like the Miss Best Smile, Miss Photogenic, Miss Beautiful Dress, Miss Best Discipline and Miss Friendship will be awarded to the deserving candidates. Miss Public choice will compromise votes from fans received through SMS.
Keshu Khadka is the reigning Miss Teen Nepal and was crowned with the title last year in 2012.Previous to that, Astha Shrestha was crowned with the title of Republica Miss Teen Nepal in 2011.
