School Leaving Certificate (SLC) results for 2068/2069 gets published today by the Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE). Only 47.16 per cent students passed the SLC exam which is often referred to as “The Iron Gate in Nepal”. This is less than last year’s pass percentage which was 55.5.
According to the data released by Controller of Examinations (OCE) board in a press conference; 17,760 achieved distinction, while 77,257 passed in the first division; 93,830 in second division and the rest 8,791 in third division.
528,257 candidates –445,974 under regular category and 82,283 under exempted category– had appeared for the SLC exams that were taken in March this year.

loads of money put in education system just went down the drain, this is tragic, not to blame the students only. there is some serious flaw in the education system. :((
This result clearly shows the declining education system of nepal. All the policies and plan made for the betterment of education system seems as gone in vane.

Yes this time the pass % has reduced a lot. Its all because the edusystem in nepal is not flexible. The Syllabus should be reduced and practical education should be emphasized !
